The DIY blackhead remover strips are the strips we use over the nose’s comedones to get rid of the dirt and pimples you have on your nose.

Oil and dirt are enemy number one for acne sufferers, and the combination of these two creates those ugly black spots.

It is effortless to make DIY blackhead remover strips at home to eliminate blackheads.

Do the DIY blackhead remover strips work?

  • The answer is simple and direct: YES, but as long as you do it correctly, it seems easy to put a strip and pull.
  • It is not that simple, obviously following our guidelines, the tricky thing is something more straightforward.
  • The skin must be moist, not to be confused with wet.
  • Extreme cleaning that your face is spotless.
  • 15-20 minutes is the ideal time.
  • It must be made very clear and emphasized that we should do this treatment two times a week.
  • Don’t even think that if you do it once a week, your nose will be free of blackheads.

Eliminate blackheads with our DIY blackhead remover strips

Certainly, oily skin is a problem that affects a large percentage of the population.

Therefore, I want to show you how to make your homemade strips to remove blackheads and pimples.

1. Milk and Honey

Ingredients:

  • One tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder
  • One tablespoon whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon of honey (optional)

Remember that gelatin helps us to:

  • Remove blackheads and pimples.
  • Cleanse the skin as it sweeps away dead cells
  • Regulates the PH eliminating the greasiness

While the milk helps to:

  • Nourishes the skin
  • Provides elasticity
  • Helps even out the pigmentation of the face

Preparation:

  • In a deep container, we place the powdered gelatin together with the milk.
  • Then, with the help of the spoon, beat until both ingredients integrate.

Optional

  • If you want these cleansing strips to be exfoliating, then add the ½ teaspoon of honey at this time of preparation.

Advice

  • Avoid contact with the sun for at least the next 6 hours.
  • If you cannot avoid sun exposure, place a factor of 25 or 30 protectors every 1 hour on your face.
  • Place the preparation for just 10 seconds in the microwave. You can also heat the practice in a water bath.
  • The idea is that our mixture is a little more liquid, so that it facilitates the placement on our face.
  • Remember that the preparation’s heating has only that purpose, and it will not need to get too hot. Just barely.
  • Take the brush and slowly place the mixture on your face. Remember to do it in parts to be easier for you to remove the strip later.
  • Avoid the area around the eyes.
  • Let it act for 10 minutes. You will need to immobilize your face for this time.
  • After that time, peel off one end and pull gently—the gelatin along with the milk when drying will remove blackheads, clogged pores, or pimples.
  • You can repeat the given process below, especially on the forehead, nose, or chin if you wish.

2. Brown sugar and Olive oil Strips

Ingredients:

  • One tablespoon of olive oil
  • One tablespoon of brown sugar

Preparation:

  • The first thing I do with spotless skin is using a facial sauna for 15 minutes.
  • If we don’t have it or don’t feel like it so much, putting a pan of hot water and covering the entire head with a towel is enough.
  • I exfoliate with olive oil and brown sugar, although I add a little honey on occasion to better the remover strip.
  • And with clean and dry skin, I put the strips.

3. Egg white Blackhead Remover Strips

Ingredients:

  • One or half egg white
  • A tissue paper

Preparation:

  • The first one I use most often, we only need a container, egg white, a brush, and tissue paper.
  • Use as a teaspoon of egg white.
  • We apply a little previously beaten egg white to the area with black dots with a flat brush, usually the nose or chin.
  • And we cover with toilet paper. In my case, I separate the layers and put a very, very thin layer.
  • Apply more egg white and let it dry. There is no stipulated time; wait a long time, sometimes half an hour.
  • Then carefully remove my pore strip of egg white and toilet paper, trying to get all the black spots out.
  • Once we remove the pore cleanser strip, you can apply toner to close the pores.

Tips and Tricks

  • You must follow the instructions correctly; otherwise, the strip won’t get anything out of your nose:
  • Wash and clean your face thoroughly; the most important thing is to open your pores as much as possible.
  • We can do it by washing your face with hot water splashing it on your face for a minute.
  • You can also use a hot towel and leave it on your face for five minutes, or you can use an acne wash that
    exfoliates mainly salicylic acid-based products.
  • Once ready, wet your nose (this is important) with your dry hands, remove the transparent plastic, and apply it with the soft part down.
  • Press down on all surfaces of the strip to ensure good contact.
  • After application, wait 10-15 minutes or until the strip feels stiff to the touch.
  • Once dry, try to pull it out with a pull from one side to the other.
  • You may feel a bit of pain not only from removing dirt from the pores.
  • But also from pulling small hairs in the nose, but nothing too painful.
  • Once removed, apply your favorite acne treatment to your face or wash with cold water to close the pores.
  • Don’t use it if you already have a pimple on your nose or a cut of skin.
  • Your nose may turn red from traction, so it’s best we do it at night. Plus, so you don’t expose newly opened pores to new dirt so quickly.
  • You can use it once or twice a week or even once a month if you’re not too bad and have other products to help reduce acne.
